Welcome 2013: 365 days of life experience

WELCOME 2013
Time will never stop for anyone and will continue moving. Year 2012 has gone and we already stepped into new year 2013.Within last 365 days, we all have experienced life in different ways. Some were good and some were bad.We left the year 2012 and were so busy in man made competition that most of us forgot that we are after all human beings, not machines made for winning a competition.

We all started 2012 carrying little fear of 21 Dec 2012 which was declared as last day of survival of human beings in the Earth. If 21st Dec of 2012 was last day then I wouldn't get a chance to continue my blog updated in 2013.After all we survived and continuing our lives in 2013.Last year we came across different events around the World. Some made us proud as human beings and some made us thinking that we are worst than animals.

Gangnam Style
In America, people were shocked due to murder of world renowned singer Whitney Houston where as people also shook their hips in Gangnam Style which spread like a viral flu.Middle east converted in war zone, killed many people and source of all these problems in Middle East saw its president Obama retained the World's most powerful seat for second time.America topped Olympic 2012 and our country, for the first time, won highest number of medal where female athletes(Nehwal and Kom) were top performers. So called Luzsec hackers hacked many websites and networks and force to think that the Internet is no more safe now.

Anonymous hacker
Felix Baumgartner taught us that there is nothing called impossible when he set record of highest ever fall from Space. We also saw launches of electronic devices like iPhone 5, Galaxy Nexus and Microsoft surface.Samsung was fined 1 billion dollar for violation of copy rights and Apple, who dragged Samsung in the court, was finally took a deep breath of relief.Microsoft lunched its most waited cloud ready operating system Windows 8 and also released Server 2012.

Flex's fly from sky
In India, there were many importand events took place. Pranab Mukherjee was appointed as new President of India.Country lost people like Pandit Ravi Shanker, Yash Chopra,Bal Thakre and Dara Singh. One of accused of 26/11, Ajmal was hanged.Indian saw almost peaceful days in 2012 until entire country was shocked when people of India heard the new of brutal gang rape of a medical student by six men in Delhi where victim was declared dead after few days of struggle in hospital.

Protest against Delhi rape
People were killed in the name of religion, died in natural calamities in every corner of the World but most of us still continue our lives as usual forgetting everything. Because we learn from the past that if we slow down in the so called 'fast life', some another will win the race.So we follow one and only one formula i.e. "Bhag D K Bose Bhag".

We warmly welcome 2013 and made different kinds of resolution in order to maintain speed in the race,to make ourselves happy. But did we make any resolution where we committed our lives to make others' lives happy and peaceful? Have you committed yourself that you will come out of  the world of "I" and "Myself" and think at least a day for spreading happiness so that others too can think that there are people who are still alive and think for betterment.Ask yourself?

The Earth is growing older day by day. People are eating her given resources faster than ever. People only know 'how to get?' and forget 'what to give?'.Life was simple earlier but human beings made it so complex that we are slowly getting trapped in this complex world and will never come out of it.Only thing we can do is to sacrifice our few minutes and think about lives of others, think how to make the Earth a better place to live. Our tiny steps for mankind from all of us will change the world.

Lets live for others, make our society a better place to live, give respect to woman and protect them, kill hate and evils from your heart and spread love and peace. With our fresh and broad minds, let make 365 days of 2013 memorable days.

NSS "Bawal" picnic party: Unforgetable memory

We,NSS,work hard throughout the year and refreshment is a medicine that is required to energize the fatigue muscles and brain neurones. NSS Kolkata decided to go for a refreshment and picnic party was finally decided at Nirala Resort in Deulti(under district East Medinipur). Deulti is a historical place and centre of attaction for house of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay(novelist and famous for writting 'Devdas').

House of Sarat Chandra
It was 8th December(saturday) and we started our journey from Cognizant TCPX facility with two buses carrying NSS members. We reached the spot at around 11AM. After minutes of relaxation, few of us started having -OH products Royal Challenge Whisky and Smrinoff Vodka without satisfying the stomach with breakfast.

Seeing them, most of other male counterparts also joined the group. As energy level started raising, Mrinal Sir, as usual, asked us to dance. We danced, we shook legs, we moved hips as never before, we jumped, we screamed, we did " Latka and Jhatka" and we did "Bawal".After an hour of non stop adrenalized dance,we went to swimming pool. We continued bawal there too. Some were pushed, some jumped, some kicked, some dived, some broke nose, some slipped and some vomitted but we didn't noticed and enjoyed colorful water in swimming pool. WoW!!!

After an hour of swimming, we all headed for lunch. Most of male counterparts didn't ate the lunch as we were not in normal conditions to move our hands and also there were no space in our stomach to add extra. Few ate but poor quality of food was aired later. After lunch, I didn't remember anything for atleast one hour as I took rest to cool down myself.

We all gathered at around 6PM after lunch and post lunch bawal and left the beautiful place. Really it was an awesome and bawal picnic party. For me it was best official picnic till date in my professional career.

It was due to energetic and vivaciuos NSS senior members like Mrinal Sir,Sushanta Da and Suman da, NSS picnic party 2012 was awesome and an unforgetable. We all enjoyed a lot and finally returned to our places safely.

Finally looking forward for NSS picnic party 2013..and..countdown begins...

21st Jan = 23rd Nov

Mail came to my official inbox, I was wished by my office colleagues. Reason?? Its 23rd Nov and my "documented birthday". I surprised by all those greetings but its true that my documented aka official birthday is 23rd November. Its way years old history when I joined school and my date of birth was registered as 23rd November  and from then 23rd Nov is registered in all official docs as my birth date.

I always remember this year's documented birthday as it was my first official birthday. Not only my office colleagues Pintu Da,Atanu,Tuhin,Debabrata and Kaushik were there with my to celebrate the B day but CITRIX employees also joined @ Swrils.

Actually my real birthday is 21st January and I am looking forward to celebrate the day with friends in 2013.
So can I say 21st Jan = 23rd Nov?

Chennai-My first visit to South India

Never think of visiting southern part of India but after joining Cognizant got a chance to go to Chennai ,the capital of Tamil Nadu, on 01072012.for IT training on Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure.

It was Sunday of 1st July when office cab took me upto Dum Dum domestic airport. We had flight from Kolkata to Chennai which was departed @ 1815PM. Me and my another colleague Mr. Mithun Debnath reached in Chennai @ 2030PM. Thanks to Indigo Airlines that we reached before arrival time. Our respective cab drivers received us @ Kamraj Domestic Airport. We faced problem in communication with cab drivers as they were unable to speak in Hindi and I didn't expect better English from them.Although we managed to make them understand about our destination i.e. Shem Park guest house at Chemmenchery in Chennai.

We reached guest house after almost 1 hour journey in cab. Guest house was full furnished and living room was Air Conditioned.I slept early as I didn't want to reach late in our first day.We reached at right time but training started late @ 1130AM due to PC problem. Trainer named Sundar was very energetic and passionate about giving training.

In five days, I got a chance to visit World's 2nd longest beach i.e. Marina beach. After finishing the class, we took local bus and met Mithun's CTS friend. We three took another bus and reached Marina beach after long journey of 90 minutes. I didn't enjoyed as we reached the beach at nite.Next day we tried to visit T Nagar also but due to communication problem we cancelled the plan.On last day, office cab dropped us @ Kamraj Airport and by Indigo flight, we returned back to Kolkata on Friday 6th July.

People of Chennai are simple in outlook and girls and women wear traditional and simple clothes. Youths are not flowing with latest fashion trends.I liked the South Indian foods.Employees prefer office buses as mode of transportation and thereby there is less traffic in the OMR road and IT high way.
