Learning Windows Powershell(PS)

New technology always excited me. I am very curious to know different kind of technologies and if those technologies fall in domain of Information Technology, I fell WoW!!!!.
Currently I am learning Microsoft's shell scripting language called Powershell. Due to demand in my company, which is a Fortune 500 company, I am getting opportunity to apply this in my work environment. I am following Don Jones who is a MVP(Microsoft Valuable Professional) in Powershell. He is one of talent tech guy in the world of Microsoft technology.

Automation is always a demand in IT industry.Windows administrators always like to automate tasks as much as possible to save time. This make them LAZY :) too as with a single click, a complicated task get completed within few seconds. I am soon going to join those folks who love automation in their IT environment.

08032013: My Maiden March Mumbai Mission

Beautiful view of Hotel Taj
I will never forget the date 08032013 when I touched the land of Marathas the Mumbai. From my childhood, I had a dream to visit the most happening metro city of India i.e. Mumbai. Not only Mumbai is a historical place but its the place where Bollywood exists, which creates hundreds of Indian cinema annually that touches billions of Indian hearts world wide.

I am really thankful to my wife because due to her, my maiden visit came to reality. As she is working in Mumbai as Immigration Officer(under Home ministry,Govt. of India), I was looking for a vacation since 2012. Due to office work, my expectation elasticated and extended to 2013.Finally got chance to visit  on 08032013.

Haji Ali
Wanna eat Vada pau?
At Boot house
Indigo flight 6E-404 landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Internation airport. I took a cab at around 2240 and reached Mahim within 15 minutes.I was excited and not believing myself that I reached Mumbai. My wife was waiting for me at her house in Mahim. Finally we met in Mumbai. I spent 4 days and all those days were life time experiences. I visited Haji Ali, Green garden,Hanging Garden,Gateway of India,Taj hotel,Sanjay Gandhi National park, Juhu beach,Elephenta Island,Marine drive, Shivaji park,Siddhi vinayak temple,Bandra and Bandstand.I satisfied myself with famous Vada pau,Bhaji pau and colorful gola at Juhu beach.I found Mumbai a good place to live. Weather was good.Sitting with your loved one at Marine drive in evening is just awesome. Cool breeze from Arabian sea relaxes one's mind completely.View of South Mumbai including Chowpatty, Marine drive from Hanging garden view point was just amazing. I was feeling like I was in New York.Evening walk at Juhu beach, touching cold 'Gola' with your l lips, seeing sunset and sand art by local artist were just amazing. I was not believing myself that I was in front of house of Shah Rukh Khan when I reached Bandstand. Just watching 'Mannat' in front of TV and sitting in front of his house in reality is totally different. Other may don't surprise by such comparison but for me it matters because Mannat realizes about hard work of a middle class guy. Bandstand is amazing place. It faces beautiful Arabian sea and surrounded by houses of celebrities including SRK and Salman. I also saw one of world's costliest home i.e. Antilia(home of Mukesh Ambani) when we were heading toward Hanging garden.I also traveled in the famous 'Mumbai local train'. From my wife house, Mahim station is just few meter away. Mumbai local train coaches are far better than local trains of other cities. Coaches are neat and clean.

My wife helped me a lot and made my maiden visit memorable. I skipped visit to Essel world and Water kingdom due to ill health of my wife after 3 days of "Rush hours" in different places of Mumbai. On 12032013, we stayed at home till afternoon and visited Siddhi Vinayak,Shivaji Park and Bandra in evening as those places are nearer to Mahim. Mumbai was so amazing that I was not in position to leave the place. But office was calling me and I had to leave the place on 13032013.Indigo flight 6E-319 leaved Mumbai at 0745 and landed in Kolkata at 1000.

Really,I agree that Mumbai is the "Mahanagari". The place which was scared by 93 communal riots and serial bomb blast, 26/11 terrorist attack but she is glowing and spreading happiness to her residents throughout 365 days.Whenever you make a plan to visit Mumbai, add following in your "MUST DO" list:

1. Relax at Marine drive. Sip cup of tea and feel cool wind.
2. Amazing Gateway of India and hotel Taj
3. Make you legs wetty at Juhu beach, taste famous Vada pau or Bhaji pau, have cold 'Gola' and walk for a mile.
4. Boat ride in Arabian sea and travel to Elephanta island.

I bet you that you will be on Cloud no. 9 when you visit Mumbai.

Norah Jones:my f@vb@r@8 singer

She is not Lady Gaga or Beyonce or Britney spears, she is one and only Norah Jones who's unique voice makes me happy and I fill heaven in the Earth!.She neither scream nor make any noise, she only sings a song that makes you fall in love.It was year 2002 when I first came to know her name when I purchased a disk of Grammy Nominees album. The album had her album "come away with me".At that time, I didn't play her songs 'cus I was seek of pop singers.Guys, same year Norah won five Grammy Awards for her album.Well after 5 years,in 2008, I was randomly  searching music videos in Youtube and saw video 'Thinking about you' of her and played it. From that day I am thinking about her songs every single day and play any of her song when I am free.

Frankly sharing my feeling,Norah is my favorite singer not for her 'Indian connection' or her preety face. Her soothing and unique voice are reasons to put her name in top of my favorite singer list. She is a versatile singer who not only deliver mesmarizing voice but can play many insturments like Guitar, piano etc. andshe is PRO on those insturments.

Many of us know Late Pandit Ravi Shankar,Indian sitar maestro and International musician, who died recently. But few of us know that 9 times Grammy winner Norah is his second daughter. Now you understood why I was saying 'Indian connection'. She had not a good relation with her father as Ravi shaker left her mom(Sue Jones) and lived in India with his current wife.Until recently she started building good relationship with her father and I hope Pandit was happy to see his daughter sitting by his side before he died.

I like all her songs and few of them I like to listen again and again.'Happy Pills','Thinking about you','Come away with me','Chasing pirates','Sunrise' and 'Don't know why' are evergeen and really touch your heart.

Im gonna really miss her upcoming concerts at all major metro cities, except Kolkata,in India which will start from 2nd March. We all looking for your sweet and soothing voice in coming days. Long live Norah.

Guys, here is one of her best song. Play it.I am sure you will fall in love.

"Thinking about you"

Don't click them | Support them

Clicked!!!!
"Nice one"..Ram smiled

He saved and shared the picture in social network sites and forgot everything about the subject he clicked. Isn't this kind of exploitation? This is a fashion, not passion for new generations.A fashion to take picture of needy people just to get "wah bhai wah" from others. Passion to support those needy people is just a "kisko furshad hain..yeh sab bakwas ka".

Lets take time from our busy life and forward a step to support needy people in our surrounding. Clicking photo of them is just a "time pass" and to show your photograpy skills to others.Isn't it? Ask your soul.

I hate pakistan but I love songspk.pk

" I hate Pakistan
 but
 I love Songspk.pk"
(someone from India tell another friend about the 'dirty truth')

Like Android cellfone is becoming popular day by day, website 'songspk.pk' also becoming popular in India Ask why? Becuase website releases latest Bollywood songs before release of movie in the market. We find people running "Teri Jhuki Nazar" of Murder 3 in their cellfones and laptops. Asked them about the source. Answer is common-"songspk.pk". We don't pay Rs. 100/- to buy original albums from Market rather we prefer to download songs free of cost from Songspk.pk. Ignoring that we are supporting piracy.

Let me aware all of you about the website.I ran tracert to know the hosted source of songspk.pk and found that its Czech Republic. The .pk is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Pakistan. I've Googled and found the following detail:

Owner Company Name : FunMaza
Owner Person : Tayyab Javaid
City : Lahore
Country :Pakistan

Some claim that Pakistani hackers have created this website to give "free gift" in the form of Bollywood song and attack those connected computers(downloading songs from songspk.pk) in India to steal important data.

My actual motive to write this post not to discuss about details of 'songspk.pk'. Its all about tryin' to ask ourselves about our own thinking attitudes and about our views against Pakistan. We hate the place Pakistan but we love free songs provided by songspk.pk.

Hey!!! someone from India love "Teri Jhuki Nazar" of Murder 3 downloaded from songspk.pk of Pakistan.

Following Russinovich | A Windows geek

It was year 2008 and I found cool tool called TCP view using which I can change many of TCP settings in a Windows box.Later day I found Process Explorer which was much more informative than built-in setting of Windows to check its running processes in Windows operating system.

I loved TCP view and Process Explorer so much that I was excited to know the creator of these tools. Using the Google, I got the details of the owner withing few seconds. He is non other than, Mark Russinovich who is co-founder of famous website Winternals.com which was later acquired by the Microsoft.

He is currently working as Technical fellow in Microsoft. Russinovich came to media attention many times including 1996 discovery of change in registry settings in Windows NT that allow Backoffice to install in the desktop OS,2005 discovery of Sony Rootkit and 2006 discovery of Windows metafile vulnerability. He also wrote two novels i.e. Zero Day and Trojan Horse. He is a complete Windows geek whose novel works inspires us,motivate us to do something new in Windows technologies.

I am following Russinovich for last 5 years. You too can follow him at http://www.trojanhorsethebook.com/

Welcome 2013: 365 days of life experience

WELCOME 2013
Time will never stop for anyone and will continue moving. Year 2012 has gone and we already stepped into new year 2013.Within last 365 days, we all have experienced life in different ways. Some were good and some were bad.We left the year 2012 and were so busy in man made competition that most of us forgot that we are after all human beings, not machines made for winning a competition.

We all started 2012 carrying little fear of 21 Dec 2012 which was declared as last day of survival of human beings in the Earth. If 21st Dec of 2012 was last day then I wouldn't get a chance to continue my blog updated in 2013.After all we survived and continuing our lives in 2013.Last year we came across different events around the World. Some made us proud as human beings and some made us thinking that we are worst than animals.

Gangnam Style
In America, people were shocked due to murder of world renowned singer Whitney Houston where as people also shook their hips in Gangnam Style which spread like a viral flu.Middle east converted in war zone, killed many people and source of all these problems in Middle East saw its president Obama retained the World's most powerful seat for second time.America topped Olympic 2012 and our country, for the first time, won highest number of medal where female athletes(Nehwal and Kom) were top performers. So called Luzsec hackers hacked many websites and networks and force to think that the Internet is no more safe now.

Anonymous hacker
Felix Baumgartner taught us that there is nothing called impossible when he set record of highest ever fall from Space. We also saw launches of electronic devices like iPhone 5, Galaxy Nexus and Microsoft surface.Samsung was fined 1 billion dollar for violation of copy rights and Apple, who dragged Samsung in the court, was finally took a deep breath of relief.Microsoft lunched its most waited cloud ready operating system Windows 8 and also released Server 2012.

Flex's fly from sky
In India, there were many importand events took place. Pranab Mukherjee was appointed as new President of India.Country lost people like Pandit Ravi Shanker, Yash Chopra,Bal Thakre and Dara Singh. One of accused of 26/11, Ajmal was hanged.Indian saw almost peaceful days in 2012 until entire country was shocked when people of India heard the new of brutal gang rape of a medical student by six men in Delhi where victim was declared dead after few days of struggle in hospital.

Protest against Delhi rape
People were killed in the name of religion, died in natural calamities in every corner of the World but most of us still continue our lives as usual forgetting everything. Because we learn from the past that if we slow down in the so called 'fast life', some another will win the race.So we follow one and only one formula i.e. "Bhag D K Bose Bhag".

We warmly welcome 2013 and made different kinds of resolution in order to maintain speed in the race,to make ourselves happy. But did we make any resolution where we committed our lives to make others' lives happy and peaceful? Have you committed yourself that you will come out of  the world of "I" and "Myself" and think at least a day for spreading happiness so that others too can think that there are people who are still alive and think for betterment.Ask yourself?

The Earth is growing older day by day. People are eating her given resources faster than ever. People only know 'how to get?' and forget 'what to give?'.Life was simple earlier but human beings made it so complex that we are slowly getting trapped in this complex world and will never come out of it.Only thing we can do is to sacrifice our few minutes and think about lives of others, think how to make the Earth a better place to live. Our tiny steps for mankind from all of us will change the world.

Lets live for others, make our society a better place to live, give respect to woman and protect them, kill hate and evils from your heart and spread love and peace. With our fresh and broad minds, let make 365 days of 2013 memorable days.

Thanks for reading this post.Request you to play below video(sang by 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson). If you  like this post, please drop your valuable comments.

"There's A Place In
Your Heart
And I Know That It Is Love
And This Place Could
Be Much
Brighter Than Tomorrow
And If You Really Try
You'll Find There's No Need
To Cry
In This Place You'll Feel
There's No Hurt Or Sorrow

There Are Ways
To Get There
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Little Space
Make A Better Place...

Heal The World
Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me
And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Better Place
For You And For Me.."
