Cold Cold night at Kolkata

After long long sunbath during summer in Kolkata, its winter again. This year temperature lowers than last year. Although my immune system is more vulnerable during winter season but I like this season in Kolkata because summer last here too long and latter tortures too much.

People from other places may find winter season more uncomfortable but people in Kolkata find it comfortable. This is the season where your tastebuds really feel the taste of tea. I have already prepared to battle against cold cold night with jackets, sweaters etc. and inner jackets of ******.Guess what?  Do you?

Friends, here is a song called "Winter time love"  from DOORS dedicated to all of you..enjoy the song with a cup of tea..

"Wintertime winds blow cold the season
Fallen in love, I'm hopin' to be
Wind is so cold, is that the reason?
Keeping you warm, your hands touching me

Come with me dance, my dear
Winter's so cold this year
You are so warm
My wintertime love to be

Winter time winds blew and freezin'
Comin' from northern storms in the sea
Love has been lost, is that the reason?
Trying so desperately to be free

Come with me dance, my dear
Winter's so cold this year
And you are so warm
My wintertime love to be..."

Hard disk price hike

I am interested to buy Seagate Expansion 3.5" external HDD but shocked to hear its current price. Its price about 3 months earlier was between Rs.3900-4000 but now its increased upto Rs. 5500 in Indian Market as well as increased price in International Market. Not only external HDD but price of internal HDD also went high. Reason???

HDD manufacturing giants like Seagate and Western Digital were forced to shutdown their manufacturing units in Thailand due to flood. Remember Thailand produes around 70% of World's total production of HDD and since Thalind was recently afftected by flood so HDD market also got affected :(.

So, people who are interested to buy HDD, pleaae wait for couple of months and hope Seagate and WD will start their bossiness normally in Thailand and we,customers, will happy to see price decrease in HDD.I am also waiting.... :)

Love beyond race

Just check out below picture:

A dog feeds a Siberian Tiger. We should learn from this picture. People hate each other, kill each other in the name of racism. Stop spreading racism, stop supporting racism.

21.11.2011 evening at City Centre 2

It was 2007 winter when I met Abdul Latief and Aftab Alam at Jetking. We came from different corners of the Earth but within few months we were friends FOREVER.

Today I felt better when I met these two gentlemen at City Centre together in my NANO treat. We planned to met on last Sunday but it was failed because Aftab was busy attending a wedding party of one of his close family member. Same day we planned to meet at City Centre2 (Newtown, Rajahat) on 21st Oct 2011 and it became reality.

I had beautiful evening with my near n dear friends and thanks myself for having such understanding people who  are more than friends.

Visit to Belur Math

It was sunday of 13th November 2011, I was normally doing my pending homeworks like cleaning room, washing clothes, suddenly my near n dear friend Abdul Latief(Sweet name of him is ABBY) rang me up. He was interested to visit Belur Math and asked me to go with him. I too had interest to visit the place so we planned to went there on that day itself.

I met him at his place Koikhali(Near DumDum Airport) and then we took a bus to start our journey to Dakhineshwar(Famous Kali temple at bank of the Ganga). On that day, I completed my third time visit to Dakhinsehwar and first visit with my Mother and second one with Menka.

We with others reached Belur Math by boat floating in the river Ganga for around 25 minutes. Finally we reached the other side of the river. Really Belur Math is a place of visit where you find peace.

We visited all temples inside Belur Math. It was historical place where Swami Vivekananda lived. I saw his bedroom, study table and sitar(music instrument). It was memorable day for me to visit Belur Math. I bought a old picture of Swami Vivakananda from a shop outside boundary of Belur Math.We ate famous "kachauri with aalu sabji" and relaxed our body with tea before we left the such a beautiful and peaceful place.

Mirik-My birth place

For every human being, birth place is the place that he/she always remember in lifetime. Similarly I too have much love and care for Mirik because I was born in Mirik.I was born in small village called Zimba Gaon(under Gram Panchayat of Mirik Busty School Dara-II)which is around 5 kilometer from Mirik Bazaar. Zimba gaon is named after Tamang Zimba who has majority of people there.I love Mirik not just as I born in Mirik but Nature has her own creation for this beautiful place. I still remember when my family visited to Mirik during Puja vacation between Oct-Nov of every year. We spent 15-20 days in Zimba Gaon.My father worked for WBSEDCL(now he is retired person) at Jalkhaka Hydel Project(under Kalimpong Sub Division of Darjeeling) he got winter holidays so we visited atleast once in a year for Zimba Gaon.

I remember enjoying fresh and tasty drops of Orange. In Mirik Busty people cultivate orange as a source of income and orange of Mirik Busty is world class in taste. Suppliers send the orange from Mirik Busty to places like Siliguri, Kolkata etc. My grandmother always reserved one tree for us(me and my elder bro) with atleast of 25-30 oranges. WoW!! we ate a lot ...

Since my father worked in Jaldhaka so I was unable to visit the place more than once in a year and thats only during puja vacation. I remember playing BHAILO and DEUSI during DIPAWALI with friends. For others who don't know about Nepali Culutre, BHAILO and DEUSI are cultural sing and dance act where male persons sing the song describing victory of RAMA(Hindu God) over RAVANA and his victorious return to AYODHYA. We visit every house in our locality in a group of 2 to 10 member and give AASHIRBAD to family and describe victory of RAMA by singing and dancing. BHAILO and DEUSI are famous in Nepali community and one of the most interesting and enjoying cultural acts. I miss a lot because I can't participate BHAILO and DEUSI for last 6 years.

Every year when we went for vacation to Mirik we visited Mirik Bazaar and KrishnaNagar. Mirik is famous for Sumendu Lake, Indreni Pool, Boating in Sumendu Lake, Feeding fishing in Lake, Cottage on top of hill, Buddhist Monastery, Tasty Momo and Thupka, view of Kanchajengha. Earlier there was a beautiful garden in KrishnaNagar but it was destroyed during time of Subash Ghising rule. Now there is huge playground at same place. Artificail Lilly flower also removed from the Lake. We enjoyed a lot when we went to KrishnaNagar.

Since 2006 I was hardlly visited Mirik becaue I came to Kolkata to work here. It is now 5 years in Kolkata but still I love my birthplace so much. Child memories of mine always knock me to visit Mirik again and again. Hoping to visit my place soon.

About Me

Writing in blog is my hobby so I finally created this blog to convert my day to day life experiences in words. Born in beautiful hill station called Mirik(located at 26°54′N 88°10′E / 26.9°N 88.17°E) which is under Darjeeling district of West Bengal,India. Currently live in Kolkata but I always miss Mirik. For me life is given to us to enjoy and make it worth living in planet called Earth.

Love to listen music a lot, read technical(computer related)
books, newsletter etc. and political articles. I hate people who support communalism, who spread violence in the name of religion, who believe in castism and racism.Just live your life with love and care because who knows what will happen within second.

I am second son of my family. My father Mr. S D Tamang is retired WBSEDCL emloyee who always support me as my mother B D Tamang and elder brother Kamal Tamang do. Currently we live in Champasari   under Siliguri subdivision. In my college days I wanted to pursue career in Biological science but settled in career of IT support.

Its now journey of over 8 years in IT support and currently working for Fortune 500 IT major Cognizant Technology Solutions(http://www.cognizant.com) in Kolkata as SCCM(System Centre Configuration Manager) SME.This month(July 2016), I've been promoted to Senior Associate. Before CTS, I worked in Energetic Financial Research Pvt. Ltd. ,Dynamic Commodities Pvt. Ltd. and Alcatel-Lucent(Telecom MNC who owns Bell Labs..hope everybody knows Bell Labs) project and learnt many technologies in Windows.Life in IT support is always challenging and required much patience. Time comes when one has to keep cool and try to analyze the matter before doing any troubleshooting step. I worked with many kind of people from lazy frog to jumping jack monkey like attitude people in my career. I did mistakes but also did many productive works too.

Those were wonderful and everlasting experiences when I flashbacked my life to college and school days. I enjoyed a lot with friends when I was in Siliguri college. Although now we all friends are busy with our own lives but we always remember college days and I hope that each and everyone always remember a day and shares it to others.

"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."-Buddha

Well said by Lord Buddha.Life given to us to enjoy each and every second.Live it large.Let paint each second of our lives with beautiful colors of love.Today we have created a very very complex and competitive World where we are living with loads of hate, anger. What you will get when you will die?...nothing..so feeling pleasure by giving pain to others is nothing but your are making your soul unrest each and every second.

Opps!!! no more philosophy  my dear friends, welcome to my blog. Just to share my day to day life experiences in words, I have started this blog. Please write comment against a post and make it live in the World's larget network called the Internet.
