21.11.2011 evening at City Centre 2

It was 2007 winter when I met Abdul Latief and Aftab Alam at Jetking. We came from different corners of the Earth but within few months we were friends FOREVER.

Today I felt better when I met these two gentlemen at City Centre together in my NANO treat. We planned to met on last Sunday but it was failed because Aftab was busy attending a wedding party of one of his close family member. Same day we planned to meet at City Centre2 (Newtown, Rajahat) on 21st Oct 2011 and it became reality.

I had beautiful evening with my near n dear friends and thanks myself for having such understanding people who  are more than friends.

Visit to Belur Math

It was sunday of 13th November 2011, I was normally doing my pending homeworks like cleaning room, washing clothes, suddenly my near n dear friend Abdul Latief(Sweet name of him is ABBY) rang me up. He was interested to visit Belur Math and asked me to go with him. I too had interest to visit the place so we planned to went there on that day itself.

I met him at his place Koikhali(Near DumDum Airport) and then we took a bus to start our journey to Dakhineshwar(Famous Kali temple at bank of the Ganga). On that day, I completed my third time visit to Dakhinsehwar and first visit with my Mother and second one with Menka.

We with others reached Belur Math by boat floating in the river Ganga for around 25 minutes. Finally we reached the other side of the river. Really Belur Math is a place of visit where you find peace.

We visited all temples inside Belur Math. It was historical place where Swami Vivekananda lived. I saw his bedroom, study table and sitar(music instrument). It was memorable day for me to visit Belur Math. I bought a old picture of Swami Vivakananda from a shop outside boundary of Belur Math.We ate famous "kachauri with aalu sabji" and relaxed our body with tea before we left the such a beautiful and peaceful place.

Mirik-My birth place

For every human being, birth place is the place that he/she always remember in lifetime. Similarly I too have much love and care for Mirik because I was born in Mirik.I was born in small village called Zimba Gaon(under Gram Panchayat of Mirik Busty School Dara-II)which is around 5 kilometer from Mirik Bazaar. Zimba gaon is named after Tamang Zimba who has majority of people there.I love Mirik not just as I born in Mirik but Nature has her own creation for this beautiful place. I still remember when my family visited to Mirik during Puja vacation between Oct-Nov of every year. We spent 15-20 days in Zimba Gaon.My father worked for WBSEDCL(now he is retired person) at Jalkhaka Hydel Project(under Kalimpong Sub Division of Darjeeling) he got winter holidays so we visited atleast once in a year for Zimba Gaon.

I remember enjoying fresh and tasty drops of Orange. In Mirik Busty people cultivate orange as a source of income and orange of Mirik Busty is world class in taste. Suppliers send the orange from Mirik Busty to places like Siliguri, Kolkata etc. My grandmother always reserved one tree for us(me and my elder bro) with atleast of 25-30 oranges. WoW!! we ate a lot ...

Since my father worked in Jaldhaka so I was unable to visit the place more than once in a year and thats only during puja vacation. I remember playing BHAILO and DEUSI during DIPAWALI with friends. For others who don't know about Nepali Culutre, BHAILO and DEUSI are cultural sing and dance act where male persons sing the song describing victory of RAMA(Hindu God) over RAVANA and his victorious return to AYODHYA. We visit every house in our locality in a group of 2 to 10 member and give AASHIRBAD to family and describe victory of RAMA by singing and dancing. BHAILO and DEUSI are famous in Nepali community and one of the most interesting and enjoying cultural acts. I miss a lot because I can't participate BHAILO and DEUSI for last 6 years.

Every year when we went for vacation to Mirik we visited Mirik Bazaar and KrishnaNagar. Mirik is famous for Sumendu Lake, Indreni Pool, Boating in Sumendu Lake, Feeding fishing in Lake, Cottage on top of hill, Buddhist Monastery, Tasty Momo and Thupka, view of Kanchajengha. Earlier there was a beautiful garden in KrishnaNagar but it was destroyed during time of Subash Ghising rule. Now there is huge playground at same place. Artificail Lilly flower also removed from the Lake. We enjoyed a lot when we went to KrishnaNagar.

Since 2006 I was hardlly visited Mirik becaue I came to Kolkata to work here. It is now 5 years in Kolkata but still I love my birthplace so much. Child memories of mine always knock me to visit Mirik again and again. Hoping to visit my place soon.
